I'm using a Windows 8.1.Ĭrap man that sucks. In that case, I have to wonder is it the mod that's having problems or is it my computer that's unable to install it. Some of the features work, but the other features like the improved AI are barely even there, and the most infuriating part is that it seems to be the exact same problems, even I though delete the mod and the download files and download it again from ModDB.Īccording to the Darthmod set up notes, the installation process is "skipping" over files that are suppose to be a part of the mod, and it always seems to be the exact same ones. It is skipping key installation steps for some reason.Īgain, it is able to run Darthmod, but when I use it for Empire, it seems to be only a mask of what it is suppose to be. Unfortunately, ModDB is where I downloaded it and every time I download it and install it, the mod has the exact same issues. I download all my mods from ModDB, I didnt have any issues downloading and installing Empire Darthmod from that place, so give that a try. The install keeps getting corrupted and keeps skipping files that are key to the mod. I know how to install both parts, it's when the download is trying to install Darthmod. The problem is that the installation isn't. The problem isn't the downloading the mod. Originally posted by madhatter:I did that multiple times. With that being said, I would only download Darthmod from excellent sites such as ModDB (ModDB > GameFront) or from the Total War forums (but I think the download links in the forums send you to ModDB.). If thats the case, I would assume there is something corrupted or missing in the files that you downloaded from the site. I think im going to make a guide on how to download this because people are struggling like crazy. Originally posted by Napoleon Bonaparte:Download Darthmod from ModDB, and simply follow the instructions. Heck when I tried to uninstall it, the computer apparently skipped even more steps, which suggests that large chunks of Darthmod is still floating at there in my computer. Does anyone know how to prevent the installation from getting corrupted? Is there anyway to fix this problem, because I can't use Darthmod properly if it keeps skipping key installation steps. Updated: Apparently, Darthmod did not install properly because the installation process "skippped" a number of steps according to the Darthmod set up notes. Does anyone else seems to have this problem? Is it because of a corrupted download? The idea of the mod is that it fixes a number of bugs and issues with the game, including AI behavior and mechanics.Īlthough I can launch Darthmod and play Empire with it, not all the features that Darthmod is suppose to have is working properly, including the graphics changes and improvments to the AI behavior. I'm currently trying to play Empire Total War with the Darthmod program (versoin 8.01.
